Srishti’s Personal Hair Care Routine

Hey Components

We all go through the dilemma of dry, rough, frizzy hair full of split ends. During my school days, I had that perfect quality of hair, straight, thick and gleaming, with a great length. The reason behind it was my mum, who always took great care of my hair, applying all sorts of natural ingredients. But as years passed my hair quality started deteriorating as I had stopped my regular, natural hair routine and shifted more towards salons. My hair started becoming my major concern. I knew it was time I should start with the natural hair remedies my mum gave me, not saying that salons are the reason that damage your hair, just excess of anything is not good.

A couple of you have mailed me asking about my hair care routine hence, I decided to do a post about whatever I do for my hair and some hair care tips.

I have really dry hair with split ends but the following remedies really help impart moisture to my hair making it look healthy.

Remedy 1:

Pour egg yolk in a bowl and add one tablespoon of olive oil and curd. Whisk this mixture until it is completely blended. Apply it as a mask and leave it for 30 minutes. After hair wash, apply this conditioner against the length of the hair and on the bottom. Leave it on for some time and then wash it off. Your hair will feel fluffy but just run your hairbrush through a couple of times and you are good to go. Repeat once a week.

Remedy 2:

Curd is a good conditioner for hair which also imparts shine and prevents dandruff. Take two tablespoons of curd in a bowl and combine it with few drops of honey and lemon juice extract. Mix all the ingredients together and form a spreadable paste. Now apply this pack completely to hair roots, scalp and its tips by flipping the layers of hair. Let it sit for half an hour and then rinse off thoroughly to get the smooth and manageable hair texture.

Remedy 3:

Grind the fenugreek seeds like a powder and add this powder to coconut oil and some curd and massage it on your scalp. Leave it for 30 minutes and then wash it off and use conditioner along the lengths of your hair. It’ll really clean your scalp and leave your hair looking healthy and shiny. Repeat once a week.Hair Tips:

  1. Skip the daily shampoo.  If your hair is dry, it may not be necessary to shampoo every day.  Take a day or two off between shampoos and give your scalp’s natural oil a chance to replenish your dry hair.  If your hair becomes flat or your scalp gets too oily, try applying a dry shampoo on your roots to refresh and absorb excess oil.
  2. Never brush your hair when it’s wet.  Wet hair is delicate and vulnerable and cdan easily be torn or broken with the bristles of a hairbrush.
  3. Use a wide tooth comb:  Start at the bottom and gently work your way up to the top to detangle.  Treat wet hair to a leave-in conditioner or detangler to help smooth the way.
  4. Get Frequent Trims:  It makes sense—the ends of your hair have been around the longest, so this is the section of each strand that is the driest and most damaged.  Frequent trims will keep your hair looking fresh and healthy—and free of dry, split ends!
  5. Drinking at least 3-4 litres of water a day is another tip to control hair fall in monsoons. Water helps drain out the toxins from your body, these toxins can otherwise aggravate hair loss problem.

Hope you will benefit from these tips and attain smooth, silky and shiny hair
