Hello and welcome to my second destination: Hamburg, Germany.
Hamburg 12 April – 15 April
I had a 3 day stay in Hamburg and booked a student hostel for the stay. Meininger hostel in Hamburg is a very good idea if you are travelling with friends. A hostel at first sounds low grade with less space and grimy, but to my surprise it was absolutely the opposite. Meininger was very clean and spacious and had all the facilities one requires for their stay. Best part about it is that you’ll meet alot of students here from different parts of the world, chill with them, learn their language and culture, it’s actually quite exciting.
When travelling you have to have your sport shoes with you, they are life savers and makes you last longer. Always remember to travel light, pack the minimum possible stuff. Clubs around Europe generally, do not require heels it’s better you have a nice pair of flats with you. 2 pairs of footwear is more than enough. I’m stressing over and over again on footwear as they are the major part while you travel as you have to do the exploring part whole day.
When in Hamburg do visit the places near Alster Lake and town hall, they have quite good eating joints out there and nice places to shop. Germany has good pubs do visit them. Visit Hamburg’s winter carnival: The Dom, it will definitely get you back into your childhood days.
If ever you travel to Hamburg 3 days are more than enough for this place. Next time if I go to Germany I would like to visit Berlin, do put it in your itinerary if visiting Germany. My best experience in Hamburg was at Meininger Hostel the coolest place to be in.
