VAGABOND: Destination Rome (PhotoBook)

Hey guys,

My next interesting destination was the very ancient city of Rome, the land where most of the history was written, many great artists were born and off course where the most appetizing food is served. The first landmark on my itinerary was the magnificent Colosseum, the ancient ruins of the gladiator times is the world’s largest amphitheater but what took my attention were the Roman forums, the showpiece of great developments during roman times still well preserved for tourist display. The beautiful city adorns architecture so appealing that it stretches you to the ancient times, after every 100 steps, I found fountains and people enjoying around them, the streets are filled with open bars and cafes, the most interesting stops were Piazza Navona, Campo de Fiori and my favorite night hangout place was Trastevere.

No trip to Rome is complete without a tour to the Vatican, a yet another country within a city and interestingly the smallest in the world. The St. Peters Chruch is amazingly beautiful and its difficult to describe in words the work of great Roman artist’s.

They say “When in Rome , do as the Romans do”, and how could I miss out the amazing Gelatos, the die for ice creams will surely drag me back soon to the city. I tried a handful of delicious Italian food but the ice creams took the cake. In the end, I had to pay tribute to the fashion street of city which was just by the side of the Spanish steps, another interesting landmark in the city. Shopping in Rome is a great experience be it leather, shoes, fragrances and premium designers!

My stay in the city was 4 nights, which I believe was good to explore the city well.
