VAGABOND: Salzburg

So finally after a long drive from Prague, we reached our final destination Salzburg. Not to forget, whenever going on a Europe trip, don’t forget to plan one travel journey by road. The feeling of pouting your head out of the window to feel the winds gently touch your face while taking the view of Alps was an experience in itself. Salzburg was indeed a smaller city, not preferred much by tourists but the beauty of the destination captured in the movie Knight and Day was the main driving force to get us to Salzburg. We loved the small streets and the designer boutiques. The small cozy cafes in the city centre also offered a warm welcome. Our most exciting adventure began when we decided to visit the Königsee Lake, Bavaria which was a 50 min Bus ride from Salzburg. With crystal clear water and the vast fauna, the view was breathtaking. We trekked long distance through Königsee to discover an unexplored island where we all were mesmerized by the untouched natural beauty, so serene so pure. The view left us so spellbound, that we missed our last bus back to Salzburg (You wouldn’t believe me if I told you I deeply wished to miss the bus). And to end the adventure on a perfect note, we walked across countries for 2.5 hours to finally find a train to drop us back to our hotel in Salzburg. We left the city with a heavy heart, we never wanted this trip to end. But with the ends come new beginnings. So looking forward for another trip very soon.

Till then Stay Curious!
