Curious about bangkok :The Grand PALACE

Finally here i am posting my most awaited travel post from the Thailand travel series. My third and final stop was Bangkok capital of Thailand. The city is as lively as it could be whether its day or night that doesnt bother the people partying and shopping here. But my favourite part of this city was The Grand Palace , hah ! yes the palace and not the shopping .I know even i wonder how i did shopping come second on my list ;)

The Palace is truly magnificent, placed in the heart of the city truly stole my heart away. The spectacular royal masterpiece was built 150 years ago by the Thai King which is a grand old dame indeed. Its beautiful architecture, intricate detailing and vibrant colors can literally leave you awestruck.
Being a royal land the place has its own set of  strict dress codes which most of the tourists are not aware of, including me ! Well you are not supposed to wear sleeveless and bottoms above knee length. This rule goes for both boys and girls no gender biasism here.Tourists can hire shirts and wrap rounds before entering the temple premises. So i layered my dress with a pastel mauve shirt, which was actually not that bad except i dint have any choice in terms of only xxl sizes available.
The Grand Palace is divided into three main zones,we started from Outer Court where lies The Temple of Emerald Buddha which is considered to be the most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand. Then followed by The Middle Court where the most important residential and state building are used for royal ceremonies and finally the Inner Court which is exclusively reserved for the royal family and we the common people are not allowed to disturb them .But i did try my best to disturb the royal guard on duty outside the premises :P and mind it if he even blinked his eye once .
After being too touristy it was time for retail therapy and i headed to night street markets to enjoy shopping along with awesome street food munching.
