From the aristocratic elegance of Awadh to the grandeur of Ahmedabad, Indian designers have discovered their raison d’être and are ruling the wedding scene with it. Since the dominance of colour red has never been dimmed, we spotted a designer reviving the neutral zone in his silhouettes and embroideries. We are talking about Samant Chauhan who’s collection stands out as a statement of the beauty of timelessness married with modern couture.
In a revival of sorts, Samant’s designs have worked to preserve the timelessness of the colour white with a modern call for today’s bride and brides maid. His clothes are repositories of indigenous art and craft, heirlooms to be cherished and conserved.
While we looked closely at the surface details and realized how beautifully the floral motifs were placed over floral prints to create magical pieces. But still, the most enthralling part of his collection was the grand silhouettes which are strong enough to stand while maintaining a feminine streak.
